Biomass Pelleting Plant Information Evening
John Amos & Co are hosting an information evening for farmers interested in learning more about the plans to convert the former Countrywide plant at Presteigne into a wood pelleting plant for biomass fuel.
The project will require vast amounts of biomass from the region within a 40 mile radius of the factory. Farmers are likely to be able to supply some of these fuel sources including forestry timber and residue, miscanthus, orchard thinnings and short rotation willow.
More information about the project will be given at the meeting on Wednesday 18th February at Luctonians Rugby Clubs at 7.00pm.
7Y will also be speaking at the event about opportunities for farmers to establish themselves in the energy and energy crops sector.
An information leaflet and expression of interest form can be downloaded here.
All interested parties are asked to ring 01568 610007 (John Amos & Co) to book a place at the meeting.
