Pest control in grain stores - courses now available!

LANTRA Management Pests in Grain Stores is a workshop identifying and controlling pests and vermin in grain stores

Organised by 7Y Services, the workshops will be held at its offices at the Innovation Centre, Upper Rissington, near Stow on the Wold, and will look at all aspects surrounding the issues on controlling pests in stores and will include a practical session at a grain store.

Hygiene and pre-harvest preparation in grain stores, followed by the biology, behaviour and identification of rodents, birds, insects and mites and the damage they cause in grain stores will be discussed together with the measures needed to minimise their activity.

The objective of the course is to limit the damage they make by establishing an effective monitoring programme that is also in accordance with assurance schemes and having regard to the environment.

The next available course date is 2 July 2009 starting at 9.30am costing £130 + VAT.
